Luna, a popular south side Spokane Restaurant Luna, a popular south side Spokane Restaurant

Luna is the Latin name of the earth's moon and just south of downtown Spokane shines a restaurant as bright as a full moon! Tucked in a neighborhood of some of the city’s finest examples of Craftsman style homes, upscale Cottages and old style mansions, the Luna restaurant offers quaint ambiance and excellent Northwest inspired cuisine.

From bread to desserts, everything is made in house daily. By using seasonal, sustainable ingredients the restaurant focuses on a commitment to locally grown food and building partnerships with the farmers and food artisans of the Inland Northwest. Converted from a historic old post office, Luna’s interior is soft, warm and inviting. With classic marble-top dining areas, warm French inspired colors and it’s own in house bakery, the restaurant glows at night with candlelight and the aroma of fresh baked bread fills the air. A delightful rose enclosed terrace and flower garden courtyard offers al fresco dining and lounging during summer hours.

As the moon comes up, Luna lights its candles and prepares for evening diners. First course can be the daily soup, Tuna Tartare, a Classic Caesar or a cheese plate of local and imported cheeses. Pizzas and smaller “shared” plates are served in the evening along with the “main plates” of the night.  Seafood entrees such as Coconut Curry Prawns, Seared Scallops and Alaskan Cod as well as Grilled Idaho Rainbow Trout are cooked to perfection.  Devotion to local producers can be deliciously experienced with Organic Kurobota Pork Loin, Brandt Farms Natural New York Strip Loin and Anderson Valley Lamb T-Bones.

Don’t wait for the full moon! Treat yourself to a Luna dining experience tonight and when the moon slips away in the morning light stop back in for fresh pastries and rich coffee.
