Hawaiian food in Spokane might seem like an oxymoron but fear not, the Hawaiian cuisine at RAW Sushi & Island Grill will have you believing you just caught the wave on the big island and came up with fresh fish for dinner. Sushi, tempura, and entrees with an "Ohana" style of Hawaiian cuisine are served up daily at this popular Spokane restaurant. Ohana, which is Hawaiian for “family”, has created its own Spokane family of devotees!

Sushi is the favorite of the day here. As the sign says, “Our sushi menu followed the path of Asian tradition, took a left turn at Honolulu, a sharp right in Seattle and ended up in the Inland Northwest.” From the “Old School” traditional rolls to the “New School” non-traditional, Island style sushi rolls, the taste is fresh fish at its best. Some of the more original sushi rolls from the mad minds of the in-house Sushi Academy are “Death by Tuna or Salmon” that end up with a trip under the broiler and topped by a fresh squeeze of lemon.

RAW also serves up other island cuisine dishes like Chicken Katsu, Kalua Pork and grilled Teriyaki Chicken, Beef or Salmon. Small plates and samplers are offered for lunch along with a wide choice of rice bowl entrees. Don’t miss out on the sweet potato fries with a tasty dipping sauce!

Evening brings out more island style taste with such choices as Kaimuki Kal Bi Steak, Shiitake Stuffed Chicken, Hoisin Chicken & Noodles or Coconut Lime Seared Pepper Ahi. Be sure and save room for the island inspired decadent and delicious deserts. It’s a difficult choice between “Oh Baby! Brownie & Kona Coffee Ice Cream” and the decadent hot fudge “Hot Lava Chocolate Cake”!

If you are a Karaoke fan then head in for some fun tunes with “Karaoke on da Kouch” Mondays and Thursdays. Different nights bring different groups to the RAW stage making this the hot spot for the see-and-be-seen crowd of young professionals.
