Mt.
Spokane
With its wide variety of groomed trails, excellent warming huts,
and exquisite scenery, Mount Spokane is the best-organized and most
expansive sno-park facility in the state. The 17 miles of immaculately
groomed trails lead skiers through a fairyland of ice-frosted trees
to broad vistas. The trails soar over the hilltops and race along
the hillsides. It is no coincidence that you will find a lot of families
here; the trails are varied, with enough open areas for snow play
or telemarking to keep everyone interested. Avalanche potential:
none Winter hours: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (after cross-country ski trails
are groomed).
A Sno-Park permit is required from Nov. 1 through
May 1. Parking in snowmobile lots or cross-country ski areas requires
a groomed trail permit.
